“The CEDT plays a vital role in maximizing student learning and the development of the local business community in Prince Georges County. Given that we are in the midst of a number of industry and workforce shifts that impacts local economic development we have to continue to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship here in the County,” explains June Evans, Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Training.

Why an Innovation Hub at Prince George’s Community College?

Besides the fact that students and faculty gain experiential learning opportunities and the chance to work collaboratively with entrepreneurs and large businesses, Prince George’s Community College aims to be an innovating force for education, workforce training, and entrepreneurship development in Prince George’s County as well as being a critical resource for economic development. The INNOHUB@PGCC leverages all of Prince George’s Community College’s assets and points them toward greater impact. It is an accessible and affordable County resource that prepares a broader population of learners, faculty, and entrepreneurs for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“The CEDT through the INNOHUB@PGCC has a unique opportunity to bridge the gap for the community between education, entrepreneurship, small businesses development, and innovation,” says Mark Lawrence, Managing Partner of Inncuvate and Project Director of INNOHUB
