Now in its 39th year of presenting the nation’s top vocal harmony groups this competition features regional events to determine a local champion who wins airfare to California to compete at the National Finals.

The sound of the human singing voice, unaccompanied and in harmony, is one of the earliest forms of music (a cappella is from the Latin “in the chapel”) and this early musical form has grown and developed over the centuries to create the modern a cappella music we hear today.
