Getting Ready For A Different Kind Of Mother's Day

Getting Ready For A Different Kind Of Mother's Day

Romano Vineyard & Winery Seeks To Lift Spirits In Spite Of Today’s Challenges

Mom never said there would be days like this. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve to be celebrated.

So as Mother’s Day 2020 is likely to be different from any other, Romano’s Vineyard & Winery is among those county businesses that are helping to celebrate safely.

“We miss all of you and hope you are safe and well,” says Joann Romano, co-founder of Romano’s Vineyard & Winery. “This is certainly a difficult time for all of us, the uncertainty can be overwhelming. The one thing that keeps us positive is you!”

Romano’s Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned and family-operated winery in Brandywine, MD. It’s an award-winning winery developed from the ground up by Joe and Joann Romano, a husband and wife team.

Romano has Mimosa kits for that special mom. They are easy to drop off on the porch. To order the mimosa kit send an email and let Romano know what Sanpellegrino flavor you would like added to your kit. Each kit contains a bottle of Smitten and a can of Sanpellegrino. Mimosa kits will be available after Mother's Day.

·  Sanpellegrino - Tangerine and Wild Strawberry

·  Sanpellegrino - Clementine & Peach

·  Sanpellegrino - Blood Orange

Like many local businesses, the leaders of the county’s first winery look forward to restoring full services.

“We cannot wait to see you again, to serve you in the tasting room, enjoy your company during our Friday Night Music events, and kick back and chat while relaxing on the patio,” Romano’s management said in a recent newsletter.

For now, here’s how things are moving:

Tasting Room Hours: The tasting room window is open every Saturday from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. for to-go sales only. You can place an order at any time for porch pick-up any day of the week.

In accord with their motto, Romano Vineyard and Winery (RVW) continues “Preserving the taste of Maryland with Pride.”

Their tasting room may be temporarily empty and their guests may not be able to rock out during their Friday night music concerts, but the wines are still available. Time at home has enabled Jo-Ann Romano and Vineyard Assistant Kim the opportunity to focus on retraining and growth in the Vineyards as well as putting the final touches on their new production building. Wines are still available for purchase and Romano’s is offering a special Mother’s Day Package. Take a look:

Wine Club Pick-up: Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 – club members, check your email for an update from Jo-Ann. If you did not receive the email of if anyone has questions, please email joann@romanowinery.com
