Brown: Prince George's Suite Magazine Adds to County Growth, Image
When it comes to understanding the continuing growth and maturity of Prince
George's County, Dr. Jacqueline Brown is said by some to be a maternal figure
who never took her eye off the long term view of the county's evolution.
Included in this, Brown continued to see the value of Prince George's Suite
Magazine and other local media as an integral part of the county's march toward
maturity as a world-class, cosmopolitan-suburban living opportunity.

Dr. Jacqueline Brown giving an exclusive interview to Prince George's Suite magazine's publisher, Raoul Dennis
"To be where we are and go where we're going in Prince George's County and
not have The Suite is to be naked," she says after living in the county for
nearly 40 years. "There's no one capturing our story in real time. Washingtonian
captures Washington, D.C. and Baltimore Magazine captures Baltimore, we deserve
to have our story told as well."
Brown says her first impressions of the magazine mirrored her thoughts on
appropriate branding for the county.
"I like what you do with the message you send and the story that you tell
about us," she says. "It's not that you ignore our problems. I like how The
Suite handles reporting on our problems: providing an intelligent analysis of
the problems, brainstorm--as is done in other communities."
Among her hopes for media in covering the county: "Apply the intellect where
it has been all emotional and apply some emotion where the approach has been far
too analytical."
