Shades of Fall
Toss Out the Fashion Rules, Women Get Whatever They Want
By PGS Media
With fall around the corner, it’s good to know that designers have tossed out all the fashion rules and toned it down for women. This fall, women will get a little bit of everything they like and want, because it’s all about women and their comfort.
Black is back, as is white, and plaid and well… every color, pattern and style will be “in.” For the fall, designers are giving women everything from neutral tones to drama-inspired colors; no-pattern to loud zigzags, patchwork, and abstracts. You will find earthy separates, layers and denim, and even floral prints in a rich palette of autumn hues. Jackets are quilted and ruffled, and if you love capes, this will be your season.
Shapes are oversized and roomy, very forgiving to women who feel they don’t have a perfect silhouette. Sheath dresses will have a semi-circular shape on the shoulder. Boxy shapes are also in.
For work, sweaters, cardigans, turtlenecks and pullovers are usually allowed. Make sure to get them in essential colors. And this season, mohair sweaters are in vogue.
The street and menswear trends will be a hit, and they’ll be toned down with a woman’s sensibility. Bring out the leather. Bring out the lace. It's all good.
Overall, designers want women to feel more relaxed, cozy, and at ease, so whatever that takes, go ahead and claim it!
