Growing Your Business
Free Workshop for Women Business Owners Can Help Accelerate Business Growth
Growing your business can be quite a financial challenge, and data supports it's even more challenging for women business owners. If you're a woman who has her own business and want to see accelerated growth, perhaps a free workshop from Capital Bank may help.
According to Bowie Business Innovation Center, women-owned firms represent to 30% of all new businesses in the U.S., but are only one in five firms with revenues of $1 Million. Moreover, 90% of women-owned businesses have no employees other than themselves.
"Capital Matters" is a free 90-minute workshop that allows women business owners to explore ways their firm can use bank capital to accelerate their business growth. Facilitated by Alex Hollingsworth from Capital One Bank, the skills building workshop - which also welcome women entrepreneurs - focuses on understanding the use of growth capital for business acceleration, developing a growth capital plan tailored for their business, and includes confidential one-on-one counseling to review their business growth challenges and their specific capital growth plans.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, June 27 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Bowie State University's Business Innovation Center which is located in the Center for Business Building, Room 3100, 14000 Jericho Park Road, Bowie, MD.
The workshop is free, but registration is required.
