Northern Gateway Business Services Open House in Preparation for Purple Line Development
To prepare for development opportunities and challenges that businesses near the planned Purple Line may face, District 2 Council Member Deni Taveras encouraged Northern Gateway businesses to attend an Open House for the Langley Park Multi-Service Center October 29.
Taveras, in partnership with the Prince George’s County Multi-Service Center, Maryland Small Business Development Center, Northern Gateway Community Development Center and FSC First, offer the Business Assistance and Outreach Centers located in Langley Park and College Park to provide information such as financing opportunities, grant programs, improving business operations, marketing tools and building credit.
“We are working together to help Northern Gateway businesses, especially those affected by construction of the Purple Line along University Boulevard,” Taveras says. “I encourage these businesses to access important business and outreach services by dropping in to a center or registering by email for a free consultation to prepare for major opportunities and challenges, especially around the pending Purple Line.”
Services will be provided at the Maryland Small Business Development Center, 7100 Baltimore Ave., Suite 400, College Park, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and at the Langley Park Multi-Service Center, 1401 East University Blvd., Suite G1, Langley Park, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
