The Training Source Triumphs With Alternative Training Program: First Six-Week Virtual Job Training Program Successfully Completed
The Training Source, Inc proudly announced the completion of a 6-week virtual Office and Professional Services job training program. Not the usual training program offered by the organization founded in 1993 by E. Kim Rhim, but necessary due to the requirement for social distancing. Partnering with the Prince George’s County Summer Youth Employment Program, the Training Source sought to train young-adult job seekers along with other residents recruited from the DC-metro area.
Virtual classes took place Monday through Thursday online for ½ day of interactive sessions. Participants strengthened their knowledge of Microsoft Office application skills, professional skills, and life skills and completed independent assignments. All the participants became Certified Customer Service Professionals after passing the Guest Services Gold Customer Service exam administered by the American Hotel & Lodging Association. The average score was 90%.
These participants progressed to Phase II of the training program, EmploymentNOW. Working collectively for three additional months, the Training Source assisted the participants in securing employment.
Participating organizations and the participants-turned-graduates celebrate the first execution of this virtual job training program!
