New Incubator Coming to Suitland
The Ivy Community Charities Is Hosting A Groundbreaking For Upcoming Business Center

In an effort to serve the needs of the community, The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County, Inc. will embark on bringing a new incubator to Suitland called The Ivy Village Incubator for Nonprofit Excellence (VINE). The VINE will help startup companies and individual entrepreneurs to develop their businesses by providing a full-scale range of services starting with training studio and office space and ending with networking. The groundbreaking event will take place on September 26 at 2pm.
Anticipating a 2023 opening date, the VINE will be able to house 8 to 10 businesses at a time with office space and business resources.
The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County, Inc. started a capital campaign several years ago to support the dream of the VINE. The organization has a 2021-2023 goal to raise $2 million to support the construction and equipment.
With a commitment to serve the community with outreach through education, health, the family, leadership development, cultural arts and economic empowerment, The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County, Inc. provides services to people all over the county.
“When we moved into this space in Suitland, we had a vision to do more and expand. We truly want to give back and be a resource to the county,” said Executive Director Cheryl Petty Garnette.
“Local businesses through the VINE and will be able to partner with other organizations in the county for training and network.”
Taking place at 6112 Walton Avenue, the groundbreaking will include an afternoon of interactive activities and celebration. To attend, rsvp by Sept 10: rsvp@iccpgc.org.
