Belarus Free Theatre is a Belarusian underground theatre group. Under the current political system the troupe has no official registration, no premises, nor any other facilities. Rehearsals and performances are typically held secretly in small private apartments, which due to security and the risk of persecution, must constantly be changed.
In this Do Good Dialogue, Natalia Koliada, the company's co-founder, will be joined by UMD faculty members and the campus community members to speak about freedom of speech, persecution, gender in Russian theater, refugee artmaking and more.
