Howard Ernst, a political science professor at the United States Naval Academy, will lead a discussion on how our political views reflect our beliefs about human nature. Are we, as humans, essentially good or selfish? How do our political views affect our views? Is rational selfishness an ultimate expression of your nature? Join the talk to understand how one's political philosophy might correlate to the theory of human nature.
Ernst is an accomplished scholar who also teaches classes in environmental policy, energy policy, and directs the Honors Program within the Naval Academy's Political Science Department.
