The Man Who Came to Dinner

  • Bowie Playhouse 16500 White Marsh Park Drive Bowie, MD, 20715 United States (map)

The play revolves around Sheridan Whiteside, based on Kaufman’s and Hart’s close friend Alexander Woollcott. Woollcott was famous both as the theater critic who helped re-launch the career of the Marx Brothers and as the star of a national radio show. In these days of television networks, streaming channels, websites, podcasts, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and 1,000,000 apps it is hard to appreciate just how much sway over the American consciousness radio exercised.  Presented by the Prince George’s Little Theatre. Performances are weekends through December 16.
