Faculty percussionist Lee Hinkle joins School of Music colleagues to premiere a new work for marimba and strings, which he commissioned with Philadelphia composer Andrea Clearfield as winners of the Global Première Consortium Commissioning Project. The Global Première Consortium Commissioning Project seeks to fund new musical works and their performances around the world. Hinkle describes Clearfield’s work as “rhythmically driven within a pleasing tonal framework.”
