CAAPA and the Davies Concert Series partner to bring an exciting musical dialogue between Figaro and Frederick Douglass. This is a benefit fundraising concert for the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts that would feature CAAPA musicians.

In a musical tribute celebrating the 125th anniversary of the death of Abolitionist Frederick Douglass and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birthday (January 27th), the Davies Concert Series partners with the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA) to present a historic concert connecting two genre; opera arias and Negro Spirituals performed by Washington National Opera musicians and accompanied by Maestro Dr. Lester Green.  Meet the Artists Reception following.

Proceeds benefit Black classical music students and musicians.
