Fink, Marxer & Gleaves combines the talents of Grammy Award winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer with those of Appalachian artist Sam Gleaves. The trio forms a powerhouse of vocal harmonies and instrumental virtuosity on fiddle, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and guitar. The Bluegrass Situation called their collaboration “a perfect illustration of cross-generational mind melds—and musical melds... Messages of social justice, feminism, working class empowerment, and activism through music are so viscerally powerful because the trio shows that anyone can connect with each other across the rifts and barriers that many would assume were insurmountable.” Rhiannon Giddens remarks that the trio’s album, Shout and Shine, includes “themes and music for now, more needed than ever.”

Also performing is Chao Tian, a master of the Chinese Hammered Dulcimer and Strathmore Artist in Residence alumna.
