Chris Vadala is one of the country’s foremost woodwind artists. His performing career is highlighted by his long tenure as a standout woodwind artist with the internationally recognized Chuck Mangione Quartet. Vadala has appeared on more than 100 recordings to date. The Rick Whitehead Trio, winner of the 2007 Best Jazz Group Washington Area Music Award, brings their world-class skill and artistry to this event. Whitehead was the featured guitar soloist for the USAF Band’s Airmen of Note for 22 years and toured with the group throughout the United States, Far East, and South America. Whitehead is backed by the formidable rhythm section of John Previti on string bass and Barry Hart on drums.
