Hoodoo is a traditional Africana Americana spirituality that developed from a number of West African spiritual tradition and beliefs. Hoodoo is a mixture of various African religious practices created by enslaved Africans in the new world. During this interactive experience Mambo Elizabeth Ruth will discuss the history of Hoodoo and it's connection to Christianity. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in the Hoodoo practices of making mojo bags, performing jar spells and nailing a petition to the cross.
