In this candid interview, Kojo reflects on his tireless work ethic, the current state of Jazz music, learning from his mentor and father, Jazz saxophonist Antoine Roney and much more.

By the age of four, drum prodigy Kojo Roney could play confidently with established ensembles. At eight, he began a professional career with his first tour in Europe. And at only 10 years old, he had shared the stage with jazz greats such as Buster Williams, Darrell Green, Billy Spaceman Paterson, Brandee Younger, and his father, Antoine Roney. Now, the teen phenom makes his Kennedy Center debut as this season’s first Discovery Artist!
