Over Valentine’s Day weekend, the NSO Music Director conducts a richly romantic program, in which the cornerstone event is an orchestral suite from Berlioz’s soaring Romeo & Juliet inspired by Shakespeare’s tale of young, doomed love. Also on the program is Wagner’s Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde and Tchaikovsky’s Francesca da Rimini.
