February 17, 4 pm Sissieretta Jones was the first African American to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 1892. This Black History program is dedicated to the legacy of little known Black musicians, featuring music by a Washington National Opera soprano and narration from a historical perspective. FREE.
