Join Riversdale House Museum for a casual guided bike tour through the historic Calvert property and along the Anacostia River. The ride will begin at Riversdale with a quick look inside the mansion, and then continue on to the old ice house, Lake Artemisia, the Plummer family mural in Edmonston, and Bladensburg Waterfront Park. At each site, we will pause for a brief talk on the history of the landmark or vista, focusing on the uses of the land and the river.

The ride will last approximately two hours and is mostly flat.

This program is part of Cycling through History, a series in collaboration with Maryland Milestones (Anacostia Trails Heritage Area) and with the College Park Aviation Museum and the Field of Firsts Foundation.
