Whitman 200: Growth of Becoming

Featuring readings by three local poets, Regie Cabico, Drew Pisarra, and Tyler French, hosted by D’Real Graham. The poets, influenced by Whitman’s legacy, will read examples of Whitman’s eco-poetry and their own original poems about plants and trees.

This reading will be Sign Language interpreted.

This is part of the multi-venue, 12-day Walt Whitman 200 Festival, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of America’s most significant and enduring poets, who was a resident of Washington, DC for ten years during and after the Civil War.
