At The First Tee, golf is more than a game. From birdies to triple bogeys, golf closely parallels real life as players experience the highs and lows of the game. In addition to learning fundamentals of the golf swing and the game, our character education and life skills programs help kids and teens prepare for success at school, at home and in their community.

The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people throughout DC, Northern Virginia, Montgomery County, MD, and Prince George’s County, MD. Through after school and in school programs, we help shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect and perseverance through the game of golf. And it’s making a difference.
