Spring Lecture Series: African American Women in Music The Music of Aretha Franklin

Please join the Prince George’s County Historical Society as they present the life and music of Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul”. Dubbed the “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin, 1942-2018, was the first female artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.  In 2008, she won her 18th Grammy Award, making her one of the most honored artists in Grammy history. Light refreshments will be served following the program.
