Randy Weston spent his career combining the rich music of the African continent with the African-American tradition of jazz, mixing rhythms and melodies into a remarkable new musical style. This concert celebration features pianists Vijay Iyer, Marc Cary and Rodney Kendrick, plus members of Randy Weston’s African Rhythms band, saxophonist TK Blue, bassist Alex Blake, and drummer Neil Clarke.
