MSEA is proud to announce the 35th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.
This year’s theme is African and Latino American Experiences of Everyday People. The celebration will feature student performances and keynote address by Dr. Ivory Toldson. Dr. Toldson will speaking about his new book, No BS (Bad Stats): Black People Need People Who Believe in Black People Enough Not to Believe Every Bad Thing They Hear about Black People. There will be books for sale at the event. The celebration will also honor the recipients of the Reginald F. Lewis Student Art Awards as well as MSEA-sponsored awards like the Dot Lloyd, Human and Civil Rights, and Minority Recognition awards.
