Arlington will celebrate Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s life and legacy on Sunday, January 19, 5-6:30 p.m. at Wakefield High School. Created by community members and Arlington County staff the year after Dr. King’s assassination in 1968, Arlington’s MLK Tribute, held annually for the past 51 years, strives to bring the community together and uphold Dr. King’s vision for social equality. Volunteer Responsibilities
Prior to the event: Volunteers will assist with line management before the auditorium doors open at 4:30 p.m.
During the event: Volunteers will serve as ushers, hand out event programs, answer basic questions from attendees, hand out/collect event surveys, assist with parking management, as well as help set up for the post-event reception.
After the event: Volunteers will assist with cleanup.
