Explore Laurel’s lower Main Street Laurel and learn about Laurel’s Civil War and how the growing community became a commercial center.

March 20 the Laurel Historical Society conducts the first of three walking tours through the historic district. The second tour April 17 explores upper Main Street and Laurel’s factory history; Tour Three May 15 highlights memorable homes and buildings and the communities they serve, including the Grove, center of early Laurel’s African American Community.

Price: $5.00 per tour.

All tours start at 11a.m. and are approximately one mile. Space is limited. Masks and social distancing are required to participate. After registration and ticket purchase participants will be emailed a confirmation including additional information specific to the walk.
