Home Delivery Plus travels to Europe, where a living legend of classical piano, Sir András Schiff, will record a program for our viewers, brilliantly uniting performance and pedagogy. Focusing as ever on finding fresh and revealing nuances in the piano repertoire, Schiff begins with a Headline Artist recital of Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert. Then, he steps into his well-known role of master educator, in an insightful Linger Longer lecture on Mozart’s Adagio in B minor. As those who attended Schiff’s back-to-back Schubert recital–lecture events for WPA will recall, the opportunity to experience Schiff’s artistry and delve into the thinking behind it is a treat not to be missed.

Program:
MOZART - Adagio in B minor, K. 540
BEETHOVEN - Sonata No. 15 in D Major, Op. 28, “Pastoral”
SCHUBERT - Sonata in D Major, D.850

Featuring a Headline Artist performance plus:

Linger Longer: Sir András Schiff presents an all-new lecture on Mozart’s stately and contemplative Adagio in B minor, K. 540.

Additional components TBA

Note: Home Delivery Plus viewers will have a second opportunity to experience Sir András Schiff, in conversation with pianist Schaghajegh Nosrati (June 4–10).
