Finding inspiration in lush harmonic and melodic explorations paired with primordial grooves, Victor Provost explores the intersections between American Jazz and various Afro-Caribbean genres. Born and raised in St. John, Virgin Islands, Provost is widely recognized as one of the world's leading voices on the Steelpan, a musical instrument developed on the island of Trinidad as part of a continuum of African drumming traditions.
For this concert, Provost has also created a series of visualizations based on source material from fellow aerial videographer, and fellow St. Johnian Daryl Wade.
