This family friendly event honors Juneteenth a day that commemorates the end of slavery for African Americans, by celebrating the strength and faith of African Americans through song, dance and spoken word.
Our Juneteenth performance celebrates the emancipation of the survivors of the horrors of slavery. Juneteenth Day, also known as Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, and Freedom Day. We honor our ancestors that did not make it to Juneteenth and those that survived. We sing songs of freedom, dance movements of liberation and speak to the beauty and perseverance of Africans and African Americans.
