In honor of Black Music Month, Turnaround Arts and the Kennedy Center present a night of music by groundbreaking Black women artists—artists who defy genre, innovate sonically, and combine the past and present in ways that inspire us to imagine a new future.
Join us for the virtual premiere of this magical evening featuring soul-filling and electrifying sets by world music icon and four-time Grammy Award®-winning luminary Angélique Kidjo, internationally acclaimed and Grammy Award®-winning R&B vocalist Estelle, and Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter and Turnaround Artist Valerie June.
The concert also features D.C.-based ensemble Mark G. Meadows and the Movement backing Angélique Kidjo.
