In 1968, Dr. King founded the Poor People’s Campaign to “focus the nation’s attention on economic inequality and poverty.” In honor of MLK weekend, Dean Randy Hollerith hosts Dr. Arthur Brooks of The Happiness Project and the Rev. Dr. Barbara Williams-Skinner for a conversation on healing our economy. As “essential workers” provided food, transportation, and other necessities to the population during COVID-19, many of the richest in our country gained wealth. Join in person or online as Dean Hollerith and his guests explore the moral and ethical dimensions of the wealth gap and faithful responses from individuals and communities troubled by poverty.
Please note this event is now fully online. Registration is required for online access.
