Two-time Edison Award-winning and Grammy®-nominated trumpeter, composer, and producer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah comes to the Kennedy Center for two performances. An architect of concepts Adjuah’s genre blind form, Stretch Music, stretches jazz music’s rhythmic, melodic and harmonic conventions to encompass a range of cultural influences from his own native New Orleans to West Africa and the Caribbean. Join us on a sonic journey, creating a bridge to liberation and freedom with some of music’s most daring musicians and improvisers.
