In the more than three decades since their inception, the St. Lawrence String Quartet (SLSQ) has risen to prominence in international competitions and concert halls for their electrifying performances, ever-expanding repertoire and dedication to engagement with audiences, composers and emerging artists. The Grammy-nominated quartet has thrilled listeners with rousing interpretations of music by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Haydn, Adams and Golijov. Residencies at renowned institutions such as Stanford University and Spoleto Festival USA, along with collaborations with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony, Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic and Marin Alsop and the Baltimore Symphony, have reimagined the role of chamber music in the lives of concertgoers, students and young artists.
