Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want To Have Fun Farewell Tour – her first major run in over a decade – begins October 18. She announced the opening acts joining her for the 24-city tour includes her first time headlining Madison Square Garden (sold out, October 30). The artists appearing on these fall dates include an array of exciting top talents picked by Lauper: Aly and AJ, Daya, Emily Estefan, Gayle, LU KALA, Elle King, Trixie Mattel, Rêve, Amanda Shires and Tones And I.
Lauper – the GRAMMY, EMMY, and TONY-winning artist celebrated for her history-making albums, music videos, advocacy, and ever-evolving style – wanted to develop a unique show connecting her hits with the visual art she loves. Original collaborations for the upcoming tour have blossomed with groundbreaking artists of various genres including Yayoi Kusama, Sonia Delaunay, Daniel Wurtzel, Reza Dolatabadi, Refik Anadol, and fashion designer Christian Siriano. Each night of the tour, Lauper will perform immersed in their creations; a one-of-a-kind experience to celebrate with her fans on her Farewell Tour.
