Native Tree ID Hike

Join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Month with a native trees hike! Participants will be introduced to the basics of tree I.D. and learn how trees provide food, medicine, and materials for Piscataway People throughout the past and present. This program is recommended for ages eight and up.

This program is being held in conjunction with our Free Maryland STEM Festival Open House. No additional registration is required to attend the open house. 

This program is free for the Indigenous community. Please contact kmcgowan@accokeek.org for fee-free registration. 

This walking tour takes place outdoors and over uneven terrain and will last approximately 75 minutes. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of this program.
