Mahler’s game-changing First Symphony was originally conceived as Titan: A Tone Poem in Symphony Form. Continuing her advocacy at the fore front of contemporary music, Music Director Laureate Marin Alsop renews her fruitful collaboration with the endlessly expressive composer Huang Ruo, who addresses the crisis of climate change in current day with Tipping Point.
