Atlantic Starr is an American R&B/funk and soul music band formed in 1976. The group originally featured lead vocalist and drummer Porter Carroll Jr., guitarists David Lewis and Wayne Lewis, trumpeter Jonathan Lewis, bassist Clifford Archer, keyboardist/saxophonist Joseph Phillips and percussionist Kenneth ""Wally"" Nicholson.

Atlantic Starr's success continued through the late 80s and early 90s with several other hit singles such as ""Always"" (1987), ""My First Love"" (1988) and ""Masterpiece"" (1990). In 2006, they released their first album in over a decade: ""Legacy: A Brand New Me"". They have since released several other albums, including ""Metamorphosis"" (2007), ""Elevator Music"" (2009) and ""Elements of Love"" (2011). Today, Atlantic Starr continues to perform and record new music.
