Noseda and global sensation Daniil Trifonov—who The Times calls “without question the most astounding pianist of our age”—reunite for two celebrated concertos. On Thursday and Saturday, Trifonov tackles Prokofiev’s towering Piano Concerto No. 2. At Friday’s performance, he brings Scriabin’s Piano Concerto to poetic, lyrical life. To close, Noseda conjures Stravinsky’s otherworldly tale of a mystical bird with fiery red feathers in The Firebird.
