The Patchwork Girl of Oz

  • Greenbelt Arts Center 123 Centerway Greenbelt, MD, 20770 United States (map)

Performances: June 16 - July 8; Fri/Sat: 8pm. Sundays June 25 & July 2 at 2pm

The Patchwork Girl of Oz is a musical adventure story set in the marvelous land of Oz. While trying to create a servant for himself, Dr. Pipt sprinkles his “Powder of Life” on a patchwork quilt doll, and voila!

Scraps – a bubbly and brassy young girl with no intention of being his slave – comes to life.

Scraps and her Munchkin friend, Ojo the Unlucky, set off to collect the ingredients needed to revive Ojo’s uncle who has been accidentally turned into a statue. It’s a journey of understanding – of self, of the wonders of Oz, and of the world around us.
