Regularly noted as one of the world’s most versatile and virtuosic orchestras, the Amsterdam-based Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra makes its first return to Washington in five years, conducted by 28-year-old Finnish phenomenon Klaus Mäkelä, also the incoming music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
