Inspired by the expressive characters in Brentwood Arts Exchange & Art Enables’ exhibition Real Characters, this hands-on, drop-in workshop invites visitors to step inside the imaginative worlds of Maurice Barnes and Nonja Tiller and explore how these artists bring stories to life through vivid scenes and emotional expression. Using simple paper mechanisms popular in pop-up books (like paper wheels and pull-tabs), visitors will experiment with ways to activate their drawings and give their own characters personality, motion, and narrative. This FREE, all-ages workshop encourages playful exploration and creativity and invites everyone to become both storyteller and maker.
