Joe Russo's Almost Dead is an American rock band that started in 2013. They focus on playing the music of the Grateful Dead. The band was formed by Joe Russo, who was previously a drummer for Furthur and the Benevento/Russo Duo. They had their first concert on January 26, 2013 at the Brooklyn Bowl in New York. The members of the band are Marco Benevento, Dave Dreiwitz, Tom Hamilton, Scott Metzger, and Joe Russo. In a nutshell, they are a Grateful Dead cover band.
