Jordana (born Jordana Nye) is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Kansas. At age 9, she learned how to play the violin and later picked up baritone, ukulele, guitar, and bass. Her debut album, Classical Notions of Happiness, was entirely self-written, self-produced, and self-recorded in her Wichita, Kansas home—which she shares with her partner and eight pets. The project explores themes of young relationships and mental health, while its majestic pop production and simple songwriting were praised by Pitchfork and Anthony Fantano. Jordana takes influence from artists as diverse as YeYe, Still Woozy, and The Strokes.
