Supporting Act: Mei Semones

Formed in 2012 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, the experimental trio Elephant Gym blends jazz, electronic, and classical influences into contemporary math- and post-rock. Their sound embodies the robust essence of elephants and the agility of gymnasts, thriving on tension and contrasts. Their 10th-anniversary album, World, enhances their signature style, described by Pitchfork as “as close to jazz as rock,” showcasing virtuosity without ostentation. The album includes contributions from Shashaa Tirupati, ?te, Seiji Kameda, YILE LIN, Hom ShenHao, and the Kaohsiung City Wind Orchestra. Lead bassist KT Chang's expressive playing is pivotal to their sound, complemented by sibling Tell Chang on guitar and keys, with Chia-Chin Tu’s versatile drumming. The trio has released several EPs and three albums—Angle (2014), Underwater (2018), and Dreams (2022)—along with diverse collaborations in the arts.
