Ngoc Le

  • Montpelier Arts Center 9652 Muirkirk Road Laurel, MD, 20708 United States (map)

September 8 – November 5, 2023

Public Reception: Friday, September 8, 2023, 7 pm-9 pm

Using everyday materials, Ngoc Le uses store bought or found objects such as styrofoam, vacuum bags, and sponges to create installations. These everyday objects are examined and then used in new and surprising ways. This work often mimics and is inspired by nature such as animal migration, vines on a wall, or flowers. For this exhibit, Le places cut sponges cut in the gallery to trigger the imagination to think about a moment when one has witnessed or interacted in nature.
