The classic children's work Peter and the Wolf has thrilled audiences for almost 90 years. Whether it's your first journey into the forest or you're bringing your whole family on the tale, this is a show for everyone! For this Sunday fairytale matinee. the National Orchestral Institute + Festival invites curious listeners to come close and witness each of Prokofiev's timeless characters leap to instrumental life: Peter on the strings, cat as clarinet, the wobbly oboe of a duck and the growling menace of the wolf as french horns. Presented in The Clarice’s Grand Pavilion, with ample seating for grown-ups and space on the stairs for children, NOI+F’s rendition of Peter and the Wolf is sure to gift young ears with the joy of music for a lifetime. Kids and parents are invited to join us early for specially themed youth activities, including visual art workshops and mask making.
