MLK Day Chamber Music Concert

The DC Chamber Musicians return to the Calvary Lutheran Church to present our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration, featuring works by Black composers. The concert includes the premiere of a lovely string quartet by a young musician member of DCCM. On the program:

  • Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Five Negro Melodies for Piano Trio, Op. 59

  • Alvin Singleton Fifty Times Around the Sun

  • Frederick C. Tillis Spiritual Fantasy No. 24
