Founded in 1988 by Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails mixes industrial, electronic, rock and ambient music. They’ve won two Grammys and entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Multi‑Platinum albums include Pretty Hate Machine (1989), The Downward Spiral (1994) and The Fragile (1999); With Teeth (2005) and The Fragile both hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. From 2008, Reznor and Atticus Ross moved into film scoring. Their first score, The Social Network, won an Oscar and Golden Globe; they later won an Emmy for Watchmen and earned Oscars, Grammys, Golden Globes and a BAFTA for Soul. Their Mank score received several nominations. Recent scores include Empire of Light, The Killer and Luca Guadagnino’s Bones and All, Challengers and Queer.
